Wine Cabinet

Wine cabinet usually without a temperature control unit is a nothing
more than really a cabinet. A wine cabinet however allow the bottles of
wine to be stored horizontally. Having a wine cabinet may be far from the
desired wine storage conditions, but it is better than without and storing
the wine vertically.
Out of the the 5 proper wine storage conditions of Correct
Temperature, Stillness, Darkness, Moisture and Odorless, the
wine cabinet only satisfy the stillness and darkness assuming it being at
the correct place that is away from any sources of heat.

In short, when using a wine cabinet for wine storage, please watch the
following basic principles... ...
- Store the bottles horizontally to make sure that the cork comes in
contact with the wine to prevent the cork from drying and thus
inviting unwanted gaseous invasion or a "broken cork" during
opening.
- Store it away from the source of heat as that can potential damaged
the wine in the bottle.
Normal storage capacity of wine cabinet varies from one design to
another especially when it is tailor made. However, the ready-made ones
which targeted at apartment residents usually store from tens to hundreds
of bottles.
